All Natural Toothpaste Recipe

You’re smart if you are – I’ve written before about how by simply removing sugar and phytates from your diet can actually go a long way to prevent or reverse cavities.

But there may be ingredients lurking in your conventionally bought toothpaste that can be doing your teeth harm even though they’re touted as good.

To start, fluoride is a major issue these days. Flouride has always been given to people in water, in pills, and in toothpaste to help strengthen teeth. Heck, I even took fluoride pills as a kid.

Fluoride, a toxic chemical that has not actually been shown to reduce tooth decays in almost all brands of toothpaste these days. Fluoride also has been associated with thyroid damage.

It’s not worth the risk if you ask me.

Conventional toothpastes that claim to be all natural, despite being free of fluoride, often contain sulfites or sulfates or glycerin, which can prevent teeth from remineralizing.

Knowing all this, why not take the time to make your own natural toothpaste?

4. Contains no toxins.

Store bought toothpaste contains Fluoride, a toxic chemical added to our water and toothpaste for the sake of better teeth and gum health. The issue is that there are no scientific studies proving that Fluoride has any benefit to our oral health at all.

There is a theory that as a society we simply have an excess of Fluoride we need to dispose of, so the government decided to add it to our water supply and claim that they were doing us a big favor.

This caused toothpaste manufacturers to hop on board and add it to their products.
